Larry the Cable Guy

Daniel Lawrence Whitney, known professionally as Larry the Cable Guy, is an American stand-up comedian, actor, and former radio personality. Born on February 17, 1963, in Pawnee City, Nebraska, he was one of the members of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour along with Bill Engvall, Ron White, and Jeff Foxworthy. Whitney has released seven comedy albums, two of which have been certified platinum by the RIAA. During his early life, Whitney grew up on an 80-acre farm outside Pawnee City, Nebraska. His formative years were spent in Nebraska until the age of 16 when his family moved to West Palm Beach, Florida. He started his career in radio during the early 1990s, making regular appearances on various radio shows. He later ventured into stand-up comedy, initially performing under his real name. However, he became famous after developing the Cable Guy character, a stereotype of a redneck with a thick Southern accent.
