Laura Jane Haddock (born 21 August 1985) is a noted English actress renowned for her versatility and expansive career. Haddock's first taste of fame came when she debuted on television in a show titled Plus One, part of the Comedy Showcase 2008. As her career progressed, she secured the lead role of Natasha in the ITV1 comedy-drama Monday Monday and played Samantha in the hit series, How Not to Live Your Life.
In an impressive turn, she featured in Strike Back: Project Dawn, a Cinemax/Sky TV drama, where she portrayed the daughter of an illegal arms dealer. Haddock also won critical acclaim for her portrayal of Lucrezia Donati, the mistress of Lorenzo de' Medici and lover of Leonardo da Vinci, in the series Da Vinci's Demons. Furthering her work in theatre, Haddock starred in Famous Last, a part of the 2009 Sky Arts Theatre Live project, and Rutherford & Son at Northern Stage. She brilliantly portrayed Meredith Quill in the Guardians of the Galaxy and its sequel, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Her repertoire was further complemented with the role of Vivian Wembley in Transformers: The Last Knight and more recently in the ITV series, The Level. In 2021, she featured in a Christmas marketing campaign for British furniture and home accessories retailer OKA, followed by her impressive role in the Netflix spy-adventure television series The Recruit the succeeding year.
