As chaos erupts in central London following a military aircraft's catastrophic crash, its classified contents scattered across the city. In the midst of this mayhem, a Storage 24 facility experiences a critical malfunction, trapping seven individuals within its walls: Charlie (and his friend Mark), Charlie's former lover Shelley, her confidant Nikki, Nikki's boyfriend Chris, the stoic receptionist Jake, and Bob, the maintenance engineer. The power outages that follow only exacerbate their predicament, forcing them to band together in a desperate bid for survival.

Meanwhile, Bob and Jake embark on a perilous journey through the facility's labyrinthine basement, attempting to unlock the security shutters. Tragedy strikes when Bob is brutally slain by an otherworldly entity. A shaken Jake flees to hide in an open storage unit, only to be discovered by Chris. As Charlie, Mark, Shelley, and Nikki converge on the scene, they're met with a gruesome sight: Chris huddled in shock, his face smeared with blood dripping from above. The horrific discovery of Jake's mangled remains suspended above the ceiling panels sends shivers down their spines.

Panic sets in as they realize they're not alone. A seemingly sinister figure emerges from the shadows, brandishing an electric toothbrush and demanding Nikki's submission. After subduing their captor and binding him with ropes, they learn that this hapless soul is merely a beleaguered resident of a nearby storage unit, seeking refuge from his spouse.

As they regroup and reassess their situation, they're faced with the gruesome reality: a malevolent force has taken up residence within the facility. Chris's subsequent disappearance and gruesome demise at the creature's hands sends the group scrambling for safety. They find temporary solace in one of David's storage units, which affords them some semblance of security.

David, a quiet and resourceful individual, helps his new acquaintances make sense of the chaos unfolding around them by channel-surfing on a collection of televisions he's acquired. The group soon realizes their only hope lies in escaping the facility, but to do so, they must first retrieve essential equipment from the basement. Before venturing into the unknown, they decide to explore the ventilation ducts in search of potential weapons and resources, hoping to increase their chances of survival.

As Mark and Charlie conclude their search of the premises, they're met with a paltry haul: a knife, a crowbar, and some fireworks. Their return journey becomes a harrowing experience as the creature breaches the duct mere inches from Charlie's unsuspecting backside. Abandoned by his companion, Charlie is left to fend for himself. The group reunites, only to be confronted by the creature once more. In a selfless act of sacrifice, David gives his life, buying time for the others to escape.

As they regroup and re-strategize, the group splits into pairs to comb the basement. Charlie and Nikki stumble upon the electronic keypad controlling the shutters near Bob's gruesome remains. Upon their return, Mark is found standing alone, his expression grave as he reveals Shelley has fallen prey to the creature. With no time to waste, he urges the others to flee immediately. However, Charlie refuses to back down, insisting on a daring rescue attempt and doubling back with Nikki.

Meanwhile, in a nearby corridor, Shelley finds herself trapped and helpless in the creature's clutches. Just as all hope seems lost, she manages to wrestle free with the knife and makes a desperate dash for freedom. Cornered in a lift, she's forced to think fast once more when Charlie and Nikki dispatch a walking toy dog rigged with lit fireworks down the hallway. The resulting explosion gives Shelley the window of opportunity she needs to escape to safety.

Believing their monstrous pursuer defeated, the trio makes its way to Reception only to find Mark has taken it upon himself to bar the creature's entry with the trusty crowbar. His teammates implore him to reconsider, but his distracted gaze leaves them feeling trapped and desperate. Charlie musters the courage to kick open the door, and in a futile attempt to stem the chaos, he tries to operate the keypad to release the security shutters.

Just as all seems lost, the creature bursts forth from the wall behind Mark's unsuspecting back, striking down their last hope of escape. With Nikki's aid, Charlie musters his strength to deliver a devastating blow to the creature's abdomen, ending its reign of terror with a simple yet poignant declaration: 'I just want to go home.'

In the aftermath, Shelley apologizes for her role in the group's demise, but Charlie accepts the break-up with a heavy heart. As they part ways, the city of London lies ablaze under the relentless assault of alien spacecraft. The film concludes abruptly, leaving the audience to ponder the devastating consequences of their characters' desperate struggle for survival.
