Lee Pace

Born on March 25, 1979, **Lee Grinner Pace** is an acclaimed American actor. He gained noteworthy attention for portraying Thranduil the Elvenking in _The Hobbit_ trilogy and Joe MacMillan in the television series _Halt and Catch Fire_. Within the _Marvel Cinematic Universe_, Pace played the role of Ronan the Accuser, making his debut in _Guardians of the Galaxy_ and subsequently reprising the role in _Captain Marvel_. In 2008, his performance as Ned in the comedy-drama _Pushing Daisies_ landed him an Emmy nomination. Currently, he is known for his role as the galactic emperor Brother Day in the _Foundation_ television series. This series is based on the stories of Isaac Asimov and started in 2021. Born in Chickasha, Oklahoma, Pace moved to Saudi Arabia for a few years in childhood due to his father's occupation in the oil business. The family eventually moved to Houston, Texas. After attending Klein High School with fellow actor Matt Bomer, Pace attended the Juilliard School's Drama Division. Here, he was a part of several plays, including _Romeo and Juliet_, _Richard II_, and _Julius Caesar_. Pace had a successful theater career, appearing in several off-Broadway plays such as _The Credeaux Canvas_ and _The Fourth Sister_. His first Broadway debut was the play _The Normal Heart_, and he also appeared in the Broadway revival of _Angels in America_. In films, he first gained recognition in the 2003 film _Soldier's Girl_ where he played Calpernia Addams.
