Leonard Harold Von Dohlen IV, known as Lenny Von Dohlen, was a talented American television, film, and stage actor active from 1981 until his death in 2022. He was born on December 22, 1958, in Augusta, Georgia, and grew up in Goliad, Texas. His early aspirations were towards becoming a jockey, but he grew too tall for it. His passion for the arts guided him to study Theater at the University of Texas, and he further graduated from Loretto Heights College in Denver, Colorado. Von Dohlen's exceptional career spanned over four decades, and he is perhaps best known for his roles in Electric Dreams, Billy Galvin, and the television series Twin Peaks and its prequel film, Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me. His film debut was the Academy Award-winning film Tender Mercies in 1983. He later starred in numerous independent films and numerous television series, demonstrating his range and versatility as an actor. His final performance was in Near Myth: The Oskar Knight Story, where he played the title role. Lenny von Dohlen passed away at the age of 63 on July 5, 2022, in Los Angeles after a long illness.
