**Lex Scott Davis**, born Alexis Scott Davis on February 26, 1991, is a popular American actress. She is known for playing standout roles such as Nya in _The First Purge_ and Toni Braxton in the 2016 Lifetime television film _Toni Braxton: Unbreak My Heart_. Furthering her career in 2017, she had a starring role in the short-lived CBS drama series _Training Day_ and played Quiara in _The L Word: Generation Q_. Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, Davis was born to a life coach mother and a real estate firm owner father. With aspirations in the arts, she attended Drexel University as a Dance and Physical Therapy major. In 2013, she took a significant step by moving to New York City, continuing her studies at the reputable New York Film Academy. 2015 marked a significant year in her career, when Davis was cast as Toni Braxton in the Lifetime television movie. This role marked her television debut, and she proceeded to co-star in a single season of the CBS crime drama series _Training Day_. In 2018, Davis took the leap from television to the big screen with starring roles in three films. These included the action film _Superfly_, the horror film _The First Purge_, and the legal drama _Foster Boy_. However, Davis didn't restrict herself to film roles. In the same year, she played a leading role in the ABC pilot for the magic-mystery drama _For Love_, and in 2020, was cast in the film _A Lot of Nothing_, which was directed by her husband, Mo McRae.
