Mariana Treviño Ortiz is a notable Mexican stage and screen actress, renowned for both her local and international performances. Born on 21st November 1977 in Monterrey, Treviño's acting career became significantly recognized following her role as 'Lupita' in the popular jukebox musical 'Mentiras'. This role was a turning point in her career. She performed in this role over a thousand times, marking a significant milestone in her career. Following the success of 'Mentiras', she proceeded to feature in notable Mexican comedy films, including 'No sé si cortarme las venas o dejármelas largas' (2013), and 'Amor de Mis Amores' (2014). In 2015, she co-starred with Luis Gerardo Méndez in Netflix's first ever Spanish-language original production 'Club de Cuervos'. Mariana also had the chance to co-star with iconic actor Tom Hanks in Sony Pictures' film 'A Man Called Otto'. Director Marc Forster testified that he was immensely impressed by her audition, which she had recorded on her phone from a hotel room in Spain. Furthermore, she managed to bag two nominations at the 59th Ariel Awards for Best Supporting Actress and Best Actress in a Minor Role.
