**Marsha Stephanie Blake** is a renowned American actress, born on May 3rd, 1974 in Jamaica. She migrated to America in the late 1980s and honed her acting skills through an MFA from the graduate acting program at UCSD, after her graduation from Dartmouth College in 1996. Marsha has been astonishing audiences since 2002 with her riveting performances, both on stage one and on screen. She's well known for a variety of roles in both Broadway and Off-Broadway productions like 'The Merchant of Venice', 'Come and Gone', 'The Crucible', 'An Octoroon', and 'Hurt Village'. Marsha's acting expertise also translated seamlessly into television where she guest-starred in popular shows like 'Law & Order', 'Law & Order: Special Victims Unit', 'Third Watch', 'Elementary', and 'The Good Wife'. In 2015,she joined the cast of Netflix's comedy-drama series 'Orange Is the New Black' portraying Berdie Rogers, a role that helped her and her cast mates win the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series. Her talent shone brightly in other noteworthy roles in 'Happyish', 'Getting On', 'The Blacklist', 'When They See Us', 'How to Get Away with Murder', and 'This is Us'.
