Naomi Scott is an English actress and singer who kicked off her career with a starring role in the Disney Channel series Life Bites (2008–2009). Her breakthrough came with the musical film Lemonade Mouth (2011), where she performed on its chart-topping eponymous soundtrack. Following this, Scott starred in the science fiction series Terra Nova (2011) and the superhero film Power Rangers (2017). Her role in the fantasy film Aladdin (2019) significantly contributed to her global recognition. In 2022, she featured in the Netflix thriller miniseries Anatomy of a Scandal and the horror sequel Smile 2 (2024). Naomi Scott was born on 6 May 1993 in Hounslow, London, to an English father and a Ugandan born Gujarati mother. When she was 8 years old, her family moved to Woodford, London. It was then when she discovered her passion for gospel and R&B, singing at the local Bridge Church. She dropped out halfway from her A-levels to follow her acting career. Throughout her career, she took on a variety of roles in film and television productions, including Disney Channel UK series, Life Bites, Disney's Aladdin and Netflix's Anatomy of a Scandal. She's also noted for her singing career, collaborating with well-known British songwriters and producers. She's a Christian and has been a UK ambassador to Compassion International. She is married to English footballer, Jordan Spence.
