Oliver Masucci, born on December 6, 1968, is a renowned German actor, best recognized for his unique and stellar performances in various high-profile films and series. A key highlight of his career was his portrayal of Adolf Hitler in the 2015 film adaptation of the satirical novel 'Look Who's Back'. This role was an interesting one as some scenes were unscripted and consisted of capturing real people's reactions to Masucci portrayed as Hitler. This role earned him an accolade nomination as the best actor in a leading role at the Deutscher Filmpreis in 2016. Another iconic character played by Masucci was Ulrich Nielsen in the Netflix series Dark. This role made him globally renowned, as he shared, '*For the world, of course, I became famous with Dark*.' His acting prowess extended to the portrayal of Anton Vogel in Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, German film director Rainer Werner Fassbinder in the 2020 film Enfant Terrible and the hotel manager in the 2023 film The Palace by Roman Polanski. Masucci was born in Stuttgart but was raised in Bonn from Italian-German parentage. His family ran several restaurants in Bonn. He commenced his tertiary education at Berlin University of the Arts from 1990 and began his acting career from 1992.
