A key highlight of his career was his portrayal of Adolf Hitler in the 2015 film adaptation of the satirical novel 'Look Who's Back'. This role was an interesting one as some scenes were unscripted and consisted of capturing real people's reactions to Masucci portrayed as Hitler. This role earned him an accolade nomination as the best actor in a leading role at the Deutscher Filmpreis in 2016. Another iconic character played by Masucci was Ulrich Nielsen in the Netflix series Dark. This role made him globally renowned, as he shared, 'For the world, of course, I became famous with Dark.'
