Gaining prominence for her exemplary work in films such as Le Bel Âge and Silent Voice, Étienne's talent led her to receive the Lumières Award for Most Promising Actress in 2010. She captured audiences with her compelling performance in the 2013 film The Nun, directed by Guillaume Nicloux, which earned her Best Actress at the 4th Magritte Awards and a nomination at the 39th César Awards.
