Starring Vincent Macaigne, F, Hugo Conzelmann, and Pauline Etienne, this tense survival drama follows a partially filled United States men’s national soccer team plane that crashes off an uninhabited Malaysian tropical island after a FIFA World Cup match. In the chaos that follows, the coach, his wife, and the crew are killed, leaving 15 survivors to navigate an island with scarce resources, a dwindling food supply, and no immediate rescue in sight. The immediate aftermath is marked by a harsh reckoning with fear, hunger, and the fragile lines that separate camaraderie from conflict.

On day one, the group salvages what food they can from the offshore wreck, only to see tensions flare when Kennefick panics at the sight of a shark and lets the precious provisions drift away. What begins as a fragile but shared resolve gives way to factional strain as fear and desire pull people in different directions. The island becomes a pressure cooker for power, loyalty, and moral choice, with the dynamics of leadership and survival pulling at the seams of the team.

Relationships intensify under the strain. Elena begins a sexual relationship with Andreas, while her sister Eva forms a bond with Felix, deepening personal entanglements that complicate decisions and loyalties in a place where every choice could mean life or death. As resources tighten, the group splinters into two competing camps: a violent faction led by the assistant team captain Andreas, and a more compassionate faction led by team captain Slim. The clash between these camps colors every interaction, every ration decision, and every attempt to maintain humanity in isolation.

By day seven, tragedy hardens the landscape: Connie takes her own life, cutting the group to 14. The sense of danger escalates when Georgie, Andreas’s brother, steps on a land mine and dies the same night, reducing the number to 13. On day eight, Patton and McKenna abandon the others in the sole rubber raft, choosing their own chance at escape over sharing it for water collection, and Eva’s resourceful yet painful calculus leaves the island population at 11.

As shortages deepen, Kennefick’s cunning becomes a focal point of conflict. On day nine, it’s discovered that he has stolen a third of the remaining rations for himself. Andreas attempts to retaliate by attacking Kennefick, but Slim and Felix intervene, though Felix is accidentally stabbed and dies, dropping the survivor count to ten. The balance between self-preservation and collective welfare continues to tilt under continual pressure.

In the early hours of day 14, Doug kills Markese, followed by Slim’s killing of Arnie, dropping the number to eight survivors. When rescue helicopters finally appear at dawn—having located Patton and McKenna on the raft Slim had hoped to destroy—the island’s hidden power struggles erupt anew. Andreas, who chose to hide rather than rejoin Slim and the others, faces a harsh moment of reckoning as the remaining six survivors resort to a lie, claiming that no one else is left on the island in order to sentence him to death.

The story unfolds with a stark, unflinching gaze at how fear, hunger, and competing ideals of leadership can fracture a team and push individuals toward extreme choices. It remains a study in the fragility of group cohesion, the moral gray areas born from desperation, and the uneasy path from solidarity to self-preservation in an environment where rescue cannot be assumed and every decision carries consequence.
