Peter Francis Weller is an esteemed American actor and television director. Born on June 24, 1947, his substantial career spans over 70 films and television series, notably playing the titular character in RoboCop (1987) and its sequel RoboCop 2 (1990). This role, along with others in films like The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension (1984) and Star Trek Into Darkness (2013), helped solidify his prominence in the entertainment industry. Weller's career extends beyond acting; he also excelled in television direction, notably contributing to the A&E (now Netflix) series 'Longmire' from 2012 to 2017. In addition to his contributions to film and TV, Weller holds a Ph.D. in Italian Renaissance Art History from UCLA.
