Piper Lisa Perabo is a distinguished American actress renowned for her performances in both film and television. Born on October 31, 1976, Perabo came to prominence following her breakthrough role in the comedy-drama film Coyote Ugly in 2000. Her portfolio of work includes prominent films such as Cheaper by the Dozen, Angel Has Fallen, and The Prestige. Discounting her film contributions, Perabo was widely recognized for her portrayal of CIA agent Annie Walker in the USA Network spy drama series Covert Affairs from 2010 to 2014, a role for which she earned a Golden Globe nomincation for Best Actress - Television Series Drama.

Perabo was born in Dallas, Texas and raised in Toms River, New Jersey. Showing an early interest in the world of performing arts, she graduated with a bachelor's degree in theater from Ohio University in 1998. Her talent was first recognized by casting director Denise Fitzgerald during one of her boyfriend's auditions, an opportunity which ultimately paved the way for Perabo gaining representation. Upon graduating from university, Perabo moved to New York where transitioned into professional acting. Aside from acting, Perabo is also a proactive political activist, having been actively involved in various protests, including the climate change protests lead by Jane Fonda and Brett Kavanaugh's Supreme Court confirmation hearing. She also endorsed Elizabeth Warren in the 2020 Democratic Party presidential primaries, and Kamala Harris in the 2024 United States presidential election.
