**Raymond Allen Liotta**, also known as **Ray Liotta**, is a renowned American actor and film producer who began his career in 1978 and worked until his death in 2022. Liotta's acting career kicked off with his outstanding performance in the film *Something Wild* in 1986 which earned him a Golden Globe Award nomination. His most notable roles, which cemented his fame, were Shoeless Joe Jackson in *Field of Dreams* and Henry Hill in *Goodfellas*. His expansive career spanned numerous other films such as *Unlawful Entry*, *Cop Land*, *Hannibal*, *John Q.*, *Narc*, *Identity*, *Killing Them Softly*, *The Place Beyond the Pines*, and *Marriage Story*. In addition to this, Liotta was also recognized for his work in television, winning a Primetime Emmy Award for his guest role in the television series ER in 2005. He brought to life Frank Sinatra in *The Rat Pack* and Lorca in *Texas Rising*, both of which earned him Screen Actors Guild Award nominations. He also had a well-known voice acting role as Tommy Vercetti in the video game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. Liotta's pivotal roles and contributions to film and television were acknowledged posthumously when he was recognized on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in February 2023. In total, Liotta's impactful career spanned over four decades, illustrating his deep dedication and significant contributions to the world of film and television.
