Richard Jenkins

**Richard Dale Jenkins**, born on May 4, 1947, is a renowned American actor. His acting prowess has spanned theaters, films, and television screens for several decades. Jenkins launched his acting journey in the theater at Trinity Repertory Company and made his film debut in 1974. His filmography is wide and diverse, including but not limited to, supporting roles in films such as The Witches of Eastwick (1987), Little Nikita (1988), and Let Me In (2010). He gained notable prominence portraying the character, Nathaniel Fisher, the deceased patriarch in HBO's drama series Six Feet Under (2001–2005). Not to mention, his valuable addition to films such as The Last Shift (2020), The Humans (2021), and Nightmare Alley (2021). Very few have managed to garner awards in both film and TV like he has. For his stellar performance in the drama film The Visitor (2007), he got nominations for the Academy Award, Spirit Award, and Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Actor. The Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Miniseries or a Movie was bestowed upon him for the drama series Olive Kitteridge (2014). His commendable acting in The Shape of Water (2017) saw him being nominated for the Academy Award, Golden Globe, and Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Supporting Actor. In the Netflix miniseries Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story (2022), he was nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the Golden Globe and Emmys, and he also received an additional Emmy nod for producing the series.
