He kickstarted his acting career in 1998 in New York with a small role in the television movie 'Thicker Than Blood' as Sanchez. A year later, he made his feature movie debut in 'Mambo Cafe' playing the character Ricky. Subsequent years saw him taking part in films like 'Prince of Central Park' before moving to Los Angeles. His notable roles include playing Timo Cruz in the movie 'Coach Carter', Spanish in 'Old School', Ben Gonzalez in the CW supernatural drama series 'Reaper', and Naps In 'Roll Bounce'. Additionally, Gonzalez played the superhero vigilante Rene Ramirez / Wild Dog on the CW superhero drama series 'Arrow' from 2016 to 2020.
