In 1985, in the vibrant Bronx, New York, Millie and Wilson De Leon eagerly await the arrival of their first child. At this time, Wilson is entrenched in the dangerous world of drug dealing, working for the ruthless Javier Cordero. One fateful night, Millie surprises Wilson with news that she has successfully laundered his illicit earnings and made profitable investments that would allow them to escape this treacherous life. However, tragedy strikes when Wilson attends a meeting with Javier, where he is unexpectedly murdered just as their son, Wilson Jr., is born.

Fast forward to 2006, in Connecticut, where Millie and Wilson Jr., alongside Millie’s younger son Randy, reside in a lavish mansion. Wilson Jr. is navigating college life, deeply in love with his girlfriend, Ana. However, he struggles with his complicated feelings about his mother’s romantic entanglements. On an ordinary day at a grocery store, Millie encounters someone from her past, prompting her to insist on an immediate family relocation. A heated exchange reveals a dark truth: Wilson Jr. learns that his father was a drug dealer and that Javier has not forgotten about Millie. The discovery is further amplified when Millie unveils a hidden stash of firearms, raising the stakes of their already perilous existence.

Despite the volatility of the situation, Wilson Jr. remains steadfast in the mansion with Ana. That night, chaos ensues as he finds himself embroiled in a fierce gunfight against two assassins, seemingly unnoticed by both the neighbors and law enforcement. Millie, undeterred by the threat at hand, believes it is safe to return home, despite a looming sense of dread that haunts them, especially as they spot a suspicious figure watching them nearby.

Without Millie’s knowledge, Wilson Jr. embarks on a journey to San Juan, Puerto Rico, seeking answers. There, he visits Aunt Jessenia, who informs him about Javier’s location at a nightclub named “Mora’s.” Confronting Javier, Wilson Jr. learns that Millie allegedly stole $2 million from him, leading to a brutal confrontation where Javier’s men assault Wilson Jr. and leave him to return to Connecticut battered and confused about the family’s extravagant lifestyle. Upon his return, Millie clarifies their financial situation and reveals her wise investment choices, including a lucrative early involvement with Microsoft. However, an admission of Wilson Jr.’s encounter with Javier enrages Millie, as she recognizes this ploy was a calculated move by Javier to find them.

The family’s turmoil culminates when they fall under attack once again, facing off against two assassins in another fierce gunfight at their mansion, where they successfully fend off their attackers, but this only seems to escalate the danger. Despite the chaos, the local police dismiss it as an inconsequential incident, allowing Millie and Wilson Jr. to travel back to Puerto Rico to confront their adversary.

At “Mora’s,” Javier divulges the chilling backstory of Wilson Sr. In an unexpected twist, it is revealed that Javier had trusted Wilson to watch over his sister, Mora, but instead, Wilson Sr. entered into a forbidden affair with her. This relationship led to dire consequences, including Mora’s tragic suicide and Wilson Sr.’s subsequent murder orchestrated by Javier himself, driven by vengeance for his sister’s fate. As tensions reach their breaking point, and Javier plots to eliminate Wilson Jr., Millie intervenes and shoots him dead. In the aftermath, Javier’s lieutenant, Choco, allows them to leave, now poised to take control of the crime empire.

When Millie confronts Wilson Jr. about the motives behind Javier’s vendetta, he carefully conceals the truth about Mora, instead attributing the conflict to the stolen money. The emotional weight of their family legacy lies heavy as they navigate the precarious world left in the wake of their father’s past.
