Robert Douglas Thomas Pattinson, known globally as an English actor, began making his mark in the film industry with his debut in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire in 2005. He amassed a massive following after portraying Edward Cullen in The Twilight Saga film series, which grossed over $3.3 billion worldwide. Transitional films like Remember Me and Water for Elephants led Pattinson towards working in independent films with auteur directors. He was rhetorically praised for roles in renowned films like Cosmopolis, The Lost City of Z and The Lighthouse. He made a return to mainstream films with Christopher Nolan's spy film Tenet in 2020, and took on an iconic role as Bruce Wayne / Batman in The Batman in 2022.
