Rory Culkin

Rory Hugh Culkin is an American actor widely known for his performances in Scream 4, Lords of Chaos, You Can Count on Me, Columbus, and M. Night Shyamalan's Signs. Born in New York City on July 21, 1989, Rory is the youngest brother of renowned actors Macaulay and Kieran Culkin. Rory's acting career kicked off when he started playing alongside his elder brothers, often as younger versions of their characters. He debuted by appearing as a baby in a photograph in The Good Son, 1993. His breakthrough performance came with You Can Count on Me (2000), where he acted opposite Laura Linney, a role that fetched him much acclaim including a Young Artist Award. Other notable appearances include in Signs (2002), along with Mel Gibson and Joaquin Phoenix, and Electrick Children, where he starred with Julia Garner.

As Rory ventured into his teenage years, he began drifting towards more independent films and clinched a leading role in Mean Creek (2004) – a tale about a group of teenagers who planned revenge on a bully. This performance won the entire young cast an Independent Spirit Award. Since his first Young Artist Award for You Can Count on Me, Rory received three more nominations. Other major movie roles include Scream 4 (2011), and Lords of Chaos (2018); the latter was based on the Norwegian black metal scene's real-life events. Rory married cinematographer Sarah Scrivener in 2018, and they have since collaborated on numerous projects.
