Sandra Drzymalska

Sandra Drzymalska (pronounced as [ˈsandra dʐɨˈmalska]; born on 24 July 1993) is a versatile Polish actress, notable for her profound acting skills and captivating screen presence. She kicked off her acting career in 2015 and has since then established herself as a formidable force in the Polish film industry. Drzymalska earned her master's degree in dramatic acting from the highly esteemed AST National Academy of Theatre Arts in Kraków in 2017, adding a critical acclaim to her credentials. Throughout her growing career, she played a myriad of roles, including a minor role in the 2019 drama film Sole directed by the eminent director Carlo Sironi. Her performance garnered critical attention, earning her Prix de l'expérimentation - Special Mention at Montréal Festival of New Cinema and a Special Mention for Interpretation at Bastia Italian Film Festival. The film was further glorified by receiving the European Discovery 2020 - Prix FIPRESCI at The 33rd European Film Awards. In the subsequent years, Drzymalska's fame skyrocketed for playing a student in the globally popular Netflix series Sexify. Her recognition was further cemented when she appeared on the cover of Vogue Polska, the coveted Polish edition of Vogue, in October 2021. She embarked on another splendid journey by playing Kasandra in Jerzy Skolimowski's 2022 film EO, which premiered in competition at the avant-garde Cannes Film Festival in May 2022. The film won the Jury Prize, tying with The Eight Mountains and received an Oscar nomination for Best International Feature Film at the 95th Academy Awards. For her nuanced performance in the film, Drzymalska, was nominated for the Polish Academy Award for Best Actress.
