Shannyn Sossamon

Shannon Marie Kahololani "Shannyn" Sossamon (born October 3, 1978) is an American actress renowned for her roles in films like 'A Knight's Tale' (2001), '40 Days and 40 Nights' (2002), and 'Wristcutters: A Love Story' (2006). Born in Hawaii but raised in Reno, Nevada, Sossamon's multicultural ancestry includes Dutch, English, French, German, Irish, Filipino, and Hawaiian roots. Adept at both acting and music, she was once part of the band Warpaint, as a vocalist and drummer. Her stint with the film industry began after she relocated to Los Angeles to study dance, and instead found herself booking gigs as a DJ and landing roles in commercials and music videos. Shannyn Sossamon has shown immense versatility through her work, proving her mettle in a variety of genres from adventure dramedy to romantic comedy, and even supernatural thriller.
