Stefan Gierasch

**Stefan Gierasch** (born February 5, 1926) was a renowned American actor known for his extensive film and television career. Natively from New York City, Gierasch decided to pursue his passion in acting and honed his skills at the Actors Studio. His career was incredibly long-standing, beginning in 1951 and lasting until 2009. Over these years, Gierasch made well over 100 screen appearances, primarily in American television. Gierasch's repertoire was vast and diverse; he participated in various genres and roles, leaving his stamp in countless memorable performances. In the mid-1960s, Gierasch was associated with the Trinity Square Players in Rhode Island. He contributed to dozens of films such as 'The Hustler', 'What's Up, Doc?', 'Carrie' and 'Perfect', among many others. Gierasch was also featured in movies 'Junior' with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito, and in 'Murder in the First'. His television contributions spanned across popular classics like 'Kung Fu', 'M*A*S*H', 'Star Trek: The Next Generation', and 'ER'. Tragically, this gifted actor passed away at his home from a stroke in 2014, but his legacy and contributions to the film and television industry continue to live on.
