Suanne Braun

Suanne Braun, born on 29th February 1968, is a prolific South African actress and TV presenter. Her professional career kicked off in 1988 when she worked for M-net, a South African channel. She was the host of her self-titled travel series, Bon Voyage, which allowed her the opportunity to explore the world, earning her a nomination for a Star Tonight Award. Apart from being a TV host, she presented Miss South Africa and Miss World in the early 1990s.

Braun's talent extended to stage and screen, starring in two notable South African series, The Big Time and the Afrikaans award-winning drama, Konings. She had lead roles in both. Her career took her to Los Angeles, where she lived and worked for about ten years, notable for her roles in American television shows such as Wings, Just Shoot Me, and popular sci-fi series Stargate SG-1, in which she played goddess Hathor. Braun's theatre work also flourished in the US, with Private Lives earning her a nomination for Best Actress at the Fleur Du Cap Theatre Awards. In 2019, she returned to the stage in the one-woman show, Sailing Somewhere.

Since 2002, Braun relocated to the heart of theatre, London, where she's had West End credits including Tanya in the Mamma Mia 20th Anniversary Show. Her recent work includes Netflix's The Princess Switch and the hit song, All Night, for the band Goldfish displaying her singing talent.
