Taz Skylar

*Tarek Yassin "Taz" Skylar*, born on 5 December 1995, is a British-Spanish actor and screenwriter based in London. After the success of his self-written off-West-End play, *Warheads*, he went on to write and star in *Gassed Up* for Amazon Prime and plays Sanji in the Netflix series *One Piece* (2023). He was born and raised in Tenerife, Canary Islands to his father Hassan Yassin, an Arab of Sierraleonian-Lebanese origin, and his mother Gwen Skylar, English born in Yorkshire. Skylar's journey into the arts began after he attempted to enlist as a reservist in the British Army in 2016, but failed medical tests after a car accident that resulted to a concussion. During his wait to reapply, Skylar ventured into the world of writing and acting. Skylar began his career in the United Kingdom, starting with various small roles. His works include the short films *Venom* and *Beautiful*, the short film *Trophy*, and *The Reserves* which he also wrote and produced. Skylar made his directorial debut in 2018 with the short film *Multi-Facial*. His numerous acting credits also include *The Kill Team*, *Lie Low*, *Final Gift*, *Villain*, and *The Deal* among others. In 2022, he joined the cast of *Agatha Raisin*. The following year, Skylar joined the cast of *One Piece* and portrayed Sanji. The series is set to return for a second season to premiere in 2025.
