Theodore Peter James Kinnaird Taptiklis, known professionally as Theo James, is an English actor who has made significant contributions to both film and television. Born on 16 December 1984 in High Wycombe, England, he is of Greek and Scottish descent. James launched his acting career in 2010 and has since starred in notable roles across various genres. He gained recognition for his portrayal of Tobias Eaton in the Divergent Series film trilogy (2014–2016) and has made memorable appearances in horror films like Underworld: Awakening (2012) and Underworld: Blood Wars (2016) as well as the science fiction film Archive (2020).

In terms of television, James has graced the screen in the short-lived CBS crime drama series Golden Boy (2013), the romance series The Time Traveler's Wife (2022), and the dark comedy series The White Lotus (2022), for which he received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination. His versatile acting skills were also showcased in 2024 when he played the lead role in Guy Ritchie's action comedy series The Gentlemen. He has also pursued roles behind the scenes, launching his own film and TV production company, Untapped.
