Tobias Vincent Maguire, professionally known as Tobey Maguire, is an internationally recognised American actor and film producer. Born on June 27, 1975, in Santa Monica, California, Maguire began his acting career in supporting roles in notable films such as 'This Boy's Life' (1993), 'The Ice Storm', 'Deconstructing Harry' (both 1997), and 'Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas' (1998). His journey to stardom was achieved through main roles in 'Pleasantville' (1998), 'Ride with the Devil' (1999), 'The Cider House Rules' (1999), 'Wonder Boys' (2000), 'Seabiscuit' (2003), among others. However, Maguire is best known for portraying Spider-Man in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy (2002–2007), a role which he reprised in 'Spider-Man: No Way Home' (2021).

In 2012, Maguire established his own production company, Material Pictures, and has co-produced several films such as 'Good People' (2012) and 'Pawn Sacrifice' (2014). He continues to undertake leading roles in noteworthy films such as 'The Great Gatsby' (2013) and 'Pawn Sacrifice' (2014). It is worth noting that Maguire was nominated a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Motion Picture Drama for his astonishing performance in 'Brothers' (2009). Throughout his acting journey, Maguire had started a firm friendship with Leonardo DiCaprio and made an informal pact to help each other get parts in their movies/TV shows.
