What's After the Movie

Frank Coraci

Frank Coraci is an esteemed American film director, actor, and screenwriter, most renowned for his collaborations with prominent actor Adam Sandler. Born on February 3, 1966, in Shirley, New York, Coraci's fascination towards film-making drove him to venture into this industry. His journey started with graduating from the William Floyd High School in 1984, where he was not only invested in academics but also represented the school's wrestling team. Furthering his passion, he enrolled in New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, bidding farewell to it as a graduate in 1988.

Over time, Coraci managed to make a substantial mark in the film industry, especially through his three blockbuster ventures with Adam Sandler. These films include 'The Wedding Singer', 'The Waterboy', and 'Click'. Alongside film directing, Coraci made appearances as an actor in Sandler's video clip 'The Lonesome Kicker', embodying the character that lends the song its title. However, not all his directorial ventures were successful - his film 'Around the World in 80 Days' starring Jackie Chan was a box office disappointment, grossing only $24 million against a production budget of $110 million. But Coraci bounced back with 'Zookeeper', a 2011 romantic comedy starring Kevin James and Rosario Dawson.
