Jeff Wadlow

Jeffrey Clark Wadlow, born on March 2, 1976, is an American screenwriter, producer, and director. He's most recognized for films such as Truth or Dare, Kick-Ass 2, and Fantasy Island. In 2022, Wadlow was acknowledged by his peers when he was nominated for a DGA award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Television, Commercials and Documentary. Born in Arlington, Virginia, Wadlow graduated from Dartmouth College with a BA in History and Film, and he later completed further studies at the University of Southern California School of Cinema-Television in 2001.

Wadlow's directorial debut was 'Cry Wolf' in 2005, financed by winnings from the 2002 Chrysler Million Dollar Film Competition. His 2008 film 'Never Back Down' received the MTV movie award for 'Best Fight.' Wadlow went on to write and direct Kick-Ass 2, the sequel to the black comedy superhero film Kick-Ass, in 2013. In recent years, Wadlow directed and co-wrote the horror film, Truth or Dare, and the action thriller Bloodshot. He's also ventured into television, writing for series like Bates Motel and The Strain, and recently earning a DGA award nomination for his work on the reboot of 'Are You Afraid of the Dark?' for Paramount/Nickelodeon.
