Born in 1963 in Bilbao, Spain, Berger's journey into the world of cinema began with his first short film, Mamá, in 1988, followed by his studies at New York University. Here, his short film Truth and Beauty garnered him an Emmy nomination, setting a solid foundation for his filmmaking career. His illustrious career was further strengthened by teaching at the New York Film Academy, which added a distinctive perspective to his own filmmaking.
