In 2017, Gaurav (Sidharth Malhotra), living in a tranquil suburb of Miami, aspires to settle down with his beloved Kavya (Jacqueline Fernandez). However, Kavya is captivated by a man who embodies adventure and a spirit of risk. Struggling to make an impression, Gaurav takes a chance and approaches her for a date, even meeting her parents, who see him as a suitable suitor for their daughter. During this period, Gaurav is unexpectedly called to Mumbai for a work assignment, which uncovers shocking revelations linked to Rishi Purohit, who bears an uncanny resemblance to him. It soon becomes clear that Gaurav is indeed Rishi.

Flash back to 2012, Rishi is a notorious rogue assassin operating under Unit X, a secretive spy organization led by the ambitious Colonel Vijay Saxena (Sunil Shetty). Colonel Saxena conducts missions that often stray from the directives of his superiors. As his actions become more questionable, he resorts to eliminating anyone who dares to challenge him. Rishi becomes suspicious of Saxena’s motives and considers stepping back from this perilous world, despite the Colonel’s insistence otherwise.

As events unfold, Ramachandra Rao (Sijoy Varghese) from the CBI reaches out to Rishi, revealing that Saxena has gone rogue. He seeks Rishi’s assistance in thwarting the Colonel’s excessive ambitions, but Rishi declines.Bound by duty, Rishi and his team attempt to extract critical intelligence from the Chinese Embassy in Bangkok, but the mission turns deadly when teammate Yakub (Darshan Kumar) inadvertently kills an innocent civilian, igniting Rishi’s ire.

Returning to Mumbai, Rishi tells Vijay he plans to retire, prompting the Colonel to request one final job: spying on Mishra, the Defense Secretary, whom Saxena accuses of corruption. Rishi successfully gathers crucial data on Mishra’s corrupt dealings, only for tragedy to strike when Gaurav becomes a casualty of orders from Yakub, who is desperate to eliminate potential witnesses. Suspecting the threat growing from his ties to Saxena, Rishi takes on Gaurav’s identity and relocates to Miami in search of a peaceful existence.

Fast forward to 2017, Gaurav’s work assignment in Mumbai catapults him back into the treacherous world he sought to escape, as he becomes embroiled in Rishi’s past life. Danger resurfaces in Miami as Unit X agents begin hunting him down upon realizing his true identity. The hunt intensifies as Saxena dispatches his informant Jignesh (Amit Mistry) to aid their efforts in locating Rishi.

The tension escalates when one of Jignesh’s agents, Koko (Shaheed K. Woods), meets a grim fate at Rishi’s hands just as Kavya’s parents, Sameer (Rajit Kapoor) and Ramika (Supriya Pilgaonkar), unexpectedly drop by, leading them to mistakenly think Rishi is secretly gay. The stakes continue to rise as Yakub makes his way to Miami, drawing closer to Gaurav and Kavya, ultimately capturing them both.

As chaos ensues, Rishi’s hidden talents come to light when he heroically assists Kavya in escaping, shattering her preconceived notions about him. Yakub, however, persists and confronts Rishi at his hideout, demanding the intel from their last mission. Rishi reveals to Yakub that this vital data contains evidence of shady financial dealings involving Norcorp and Indian politicians, information Gaurav had struck a deal to sell to Mishra.

When thrust into a life-or-death situation, Rishi crafts a daring plan to extract the crucial data. However, Yakub’s treachery leads to his abandonment during a chase, but with Kavya’s help, Rishi narrowly escapes. In the pivotal party, a violent confrontation erupts between Rishi and Yakub’s henchmen, culminating in Rishi displaying prowess that leaves his enemies either dead or fleeing.

In a dramatic climax, Rishi dupes Yakub into believing he holds the final pieces of incriminating data, leading to a shocking twist where the cops, drawn by the ensuing chaos, take down Yakub and his accomplices. Vijay Saxena, learning of Rishi’s survival, confronts him, but his plot backfires spectacularly when Rishi orchestrates an explosion that takes the Colonel out of the equation. With the evidence finally secured and Unit X dismantled, Rishi and Kavya assume new identities as Hemanth Khanna and Pooja Khanna, embarking on a journey toward a renewed life.

In a teaser mid-credits scene, Dixit is seen purchasing firearms from a local gun shop in Miami, indicating that the past may not be entirely behind him.
