Luigi, a formidable figure entwined with the Calabrian 'Ndrangheta's criminal underbelly, has built an international reputation for himself as a ruthless drug dealer, with ties to the powerful South American crime syndicates. Meanwhile, his older brother Rocco (played by) resides in Milan with his wife Valeria and their daughter, living a life starkly contrasted to Luigi's morally ambiguous existence. As the eldest of the three brothers, Luciano has chosen to retreat from the world, tending to his goats in the mountains as an attempt to remain detached from his siblings' illicit endeavors.

However, the simmering tensions between the brothers come to a head when their young and hot-headed nephew Leo, fueled by a perceived slight, unleashes a barrage of bullets on the exterior of a bar protected by a rival clan of 'Ndrangheta. This act of defiance is rooted in a long-standing feud that originated with Luigi's refusal to trade with the rival gang, stemming from their leader's cold-blooded murder of Luigi's father many years prior.

The rival clan demands that Luigi supply them with drugs, but his steadfast refusal only serves to galvanize his determination to take them down. Initially, he looks to strengthen his ties with other families, but before he can carry out his plans, a brutal and senseless act of violence claims Luigi's life on the streets.

Rocco, having arrived from Milan, is driven by a burning desire for revenge against those who have wronged his family. However, before taking action, he seeks to gauge the extent of their isolation or potential support from other criminal organizations. Meanwhile, Leo, still reeling from the loss of his uncle Luigi, feels an overwhelming sense of responsibility to settle the score alone. He sets out to eliminate the enemy's leader, but a betrayal by his accomplice ultimately seals his fate.

This chain of events sends shockwaves throughout the community, leaving Luciano, who has lost two sons and is consumed by grief, with only one option: to take matters into his own hands. In a stunning turn of events, he kills Rocco, seemingly contemplating a final act of self-annihilation that would extinguish the lineage of violence that has plagued their family for so long.
