Rushon Askins, a gentle soul with aspirations of rising social status, has been courting Nikki for seven weeks, their relationship blossoming with mutual affection. However, the couple’s hesitation to take the next step stems from Nikki’s innate caution and uncertainty about whether they’re ready to consummate their love. This trepidation prompts Rushon to invite Nikki out on a dinner date, but she has other plans - she wants it to be a double date with her outspoken friend Lysterine “Lysti” and Rushon’s self-proclaimed “bad boy” buddy Bunz.

As the evening unfolds, Lysti and Bunz unexpectedly form a connection, their adventurous spirits and uninhibited nature drawing them together despite initial reservations. Meanwhile, Nikki begins to crave the next level of intimacy with Rushon, catching him off guard with her enthusiasm. However, their eagerness is tempered by Nikki’s insistence on practicing safe sex in the midst of the 1990s’ condom-conscious culture.

The turning point arrives when Nikki’s mischievous dog Killer, a small terrier with a penchant for mayhem, snatches and devours Rushon’s sole condom, forcing him to embark on a nocturnal quest to replenish his supply. With Killer in tow, Rushon joins forces with Bunz to navigate the city streets, visiting a variety of eccentric establishments including a Chinese medicine store, a Punjabi convenience shop, and even a store that becomes a makeshift refuge from a would-be armed robber.

As they search for protection, their path crosses with an array of colorful characters - a wily store owner, a hypocritical judge (Bernie Mac) and his clandestine lover, and even Killer himself, who breaks free from Rushon’s grasp and leads the pair on a wild chase through the city. Amidst this chaotic backdrop, Rushon and Bunz find themselves entwined in a series of hilarious misadventures that test their friendship, their judgment, and their commitment to safe sex in the face of uncertainty.

As the situation unfolds, a chain of events sets in motion when Bunz (character name not provided) carelessly fires a gun he obtained from an anxious cab driver at Rushon (actor not mentioned), accidentally striking him in the leg. The group finds themselves at the hospital, where they initially face a callous and unsympathetic admissions nurse who refuses to admit Rushon due to lack of insurance coverage. However, Bunz’s quick thinking and resourcefulness allow him to impersonate a doctor, using a found set of credentials to gain access to the facility and get his friend treated.

As “Doctor” Bunz tends to Rushon’s wound, he becomes distracted by an unexpected medical emergency – the need to deliver a baby. In the chaos that ensues, Rushon slips through the cracks and is mistakenly identified as a patient scheduled for a rather drastic procedure (the actual patient having cleverly switched charts with Rushon after discovering his own fate). Meanwhile, the real doctor Bunz was impersonating finally appears on the scene, prompting a frantic search of the hospital by admissions staff and security personnel.

Bunz, Lysterine, and Nikki embark on a desperate mission to locate their missing friend, only to find Rushon already anesthetized and prepared for surgery. Just as all hope seems lost, Nikki intervenes just in time, shouting out Rushon’s lack of insurance coverage and bringing the operation to a halt. With the crisis averted, both couples reunite and leave the hospital behind, eager to make up for lost time with some much-needed and decidedly risqué yet safe intimacy at home.
