As Dr. Nick Cavanaugh (Julian Sands) moves into his late mother’s luxurious estate with his girlfriend Anne, he becomes increasingly fixated on Helena - a captivating yet contemptuous woman with whom he had a brief encounter. During a lavish housewarming celebration, the unexpected arrival of Helena surprises everyone, including Nick himself, but she quickly departs with one of Nick’s colleagues. This sudden turn of events compels Anne to leave Nick, forcing him to confront his unresolved feelings for Helena.
