Check out what happened in Criminal Activities!

As four individuals put their collective trust in a venture capital scheme, they're blinded by the promise of exponential returns on their borrowed funds. The fact that this opportunity is fueled by insider trading doesn't seem to faze them, as long as the money rolls in. However, their luck takes a drastic turn when the company suddenly implodes under federal scrutiny and their financial backer reveals his true colors - Eddie (John Travolta), a charismatic yet ruthless mobster.

Eddie proposes a way out of their predicament: kidnap a man, hold him hostage for 24 hours, and then hand him over to Eddie's associates. This seemingly simple solution comes with a hefty price tag - clearing their massive debt with Eddie and ensuring they can all part ways amicably. But complications arise, like the fact that the kidnapped victim has ties to a powerful mob boss offering a two-million-dollar reward for his safe return.

As if these obstacles weren't enough, the four kidnappers are subsequently tasked with each murdering their hostage before being allowed to leave the building - a gruesome requirement that raises the stakes exponentially. Amidst this chaos, it becomes increasingly clear that appearances can be deceiving, and what initially seemed straightforward might be anything but.
