What triggers the tragic events in 'Delhi Safari'?
The residents of the national park awaken to a blissful, sunny morning, filled with the cheerful melodies of birds and the playful antics of animals, notably Sultan and his little cub. The jungle exudes an atmosphere of joy and tranquility. However, the peace is abruptly shattered by distant thunder, which upon closer inspection reveals a grim sight: the jungle is under violent attack from humans and machinery, wreaking havoc in their wake. In a brave yet futile attempt to defend his home, Sultan tragically loses his life.
As night falls, tension hangs thick in the air. The remaining animals convene, their hearts heavy with fear and uncertainty about their future in the face of human encroachment. Yuvi, Sultan’s cub, stands up amid the growing despair, imploring the elders not to surrender their homes without a fight. Yet, many believe resistance is pointless, concluding that fleeing to a safer territory is their only course of action. Among them, the hot-headed militant monkey, Bajrangi, passionately advocates for a full-blown war against the intruding humans. In contrast, the wise bear, Bagga, an advocate for peace, proposes a more civil approach: why not engage in dialogue with the humans to win back their homes? The stumbling block, however, lies in the fact that none of the animals speak the human language.
In a stroke of insight, Air India, the pigeon, suggests enlisting the help of Alex, a talking parrot who could serve as their bridge to the humans. Filled with renewed hope, Yuvi, Bajrangi, and Bagga embark on a daring mission to liberate Alex from his opulent golden cage. Unfortunately, their optimism quickly dissipates when they discover that Alex harbors a deep disdain for animals, favoring humans instead, and he shows no interest in their plight—especially when confronted by the brash Bajrangi. Alex believes that such problems should be addressed in the governmental halls of Delhi.
Thus begins an ambitious journey stretching from Mumbai to Delhi. It is a voyage of transformation, where animosity gradually gives way to camaraderie and understanding. This eclectic group of five animals traverses the vast expanse of India, unearthing a truth that resonates beyond their own experiences—one that affects countless other lives and habitats along the way.
Their expedition evolves into a collective struggle for a fundamental right—a place to call home. Through trials and tribulations, their disparate paths intertwine, fostering bonds that were once unthinkable, proving that together, they are capable of reclaiming not just their home, but fostering hope for all creatures affected by similar fates.
