In a desperate effort to resurrect their fallen leader, Sorbet, the commander of the remaining Frieza Force, embarks on a treacherous mission to Earth. He forces the Pilaf Gang to seek out the mystical Dragon Balls, ancient artifacts with the power to summon Shenron, the eternal dragon that grants wishes. However, their attempt at resurrection takes an unexpected turn when they succeed but find Frieza reanimated in a dismembered state. Sorbet’s underlings scramble to piece him back together using their advanced technology. Once reformed, Frieza wastes no time in reclaiming his authority and swiftly unleashes terror on his subordinates before setting his sights on exacting revenge against the powerful Super Saiyans.

Meanwhile, Jaco the Galactic Patrolman comes to Earth with urgent news: Frieza’s resurgence is imminent. With Goku and Vegeta away sharpening their abilities with Whis on Beerus’s planet, the remaining warriors—including Gohan, Piccolo, Krillin, Master Roshi, Tien Shinhan, and Jaco—join forces to confront this looming threat. In a show of unity, they fight against countless Frieza soldiers, emerging victorious but ultimately overwhelmed by Frieza’s newfound strength gained through vigorous training.

Bulma, always the clever strategist, manages to establish contact with Whis, alerting Goku and Vegeta to Frieza’s impending return. Upon their arrival back on Earth, the Saiyans rush in to rescue their allies and tackle their formidable foe. As the two titans clash, the likes of Whis and Beerus observe the unfolding battle with great interest. Goku makes the first move against Frieza but, recognizing he is holding back, the two agree to reveal their full strength.

In an astounding display of power, Goku transforms into an extraordinary Super Saiyan form—later known as Super Saiyan Blue—while Frieza adopts a stunning gold-plated variety, calling it Golden Frieza. The beginning of the fight sees Frieza taking the lead, but Goku quickly realizes that this new form has its weaknesses due to Frieza’s lack of experience with it.

As the massive conflict draws to a close, Goku stands victorious against Frieza. However, he is taken by surprise when Sorbet sneaks in an attack with his raygun. For a fleeting moment, Frieza looms over the incapacitated Goku, presenting Vegeta with a chance to take revenge and cement his role as the second-in-command. Yet, the proud Saiyan Prince refuses, instead transforming into Super Saiyan Blue and launching a furious assault against Frieza.

During this chaos, while Krillin tries to revive Goku with a Senzu bean, Frieza sees his chance to counterattack. However, Vegeta skillfully redirects the energy blast, inadvertently eliminating Sorbet. Consumed by rage, Vegeta overwhelms Frieza, only for Frieza to retaliate with a catastrophic energy blast that annihilates Earth, thereby claiming Vegeta’s life.

As the remnants of their world fade into the cosmos, Goku, Beerus, and their comrades find refuge thanks to Whis, who reveals his ability to manipulate time, allowing him to rewind it by three minutes. Taking swift action, Goku swiftly defeats Frieza with a mighty Kamehameha, leaving Vegeta filled with rage at the turn of events.

In the aftermath, Goku and Vegeta have an honest discourse about the importance of collaboration against powerful adversaries like Frieza. While Vegeta initially scoffs at such an idea, Goku playfully acknowledges the sentiment, prompting Vegeta to suggest that it is indeed high time they found common ground. In a humorous post-credits scene, Frieza finds himself back in Hell, greeted by an unexpected welcome mat.
