Who are the three main characters in the film?

Plot Summary

In the scorching heat of a sun-kissed landscape, three go-go Watusi dancers - fiery Varla (karate expert extraordinaire), submissive Rosie (her lesbian lover), and hesitant Billie (the only moral compass) - embark on a thrill-seeking escapade, fueled by adventure, violence, and seduction. As they tear through the countryside in their sleek sports car, they leave a trail of destruction in their wake.

Their carefree exploits take a dark turn when they engage in a water fight at a nearby lake, only to challenge a young couple, Tommy (innocent bystander) and Linda (shocked witness), to a “chicken race.” Varla’s ruthless tactics lead to her winning, but not without leaving Tommy broken and lifeless on the ground. The horror of this brutal act sends Linda crashing into unconsciousness.

The trio abandons Tommy’s body and takes hostage Linda, driving them to a rural gas station run by an elderly man confined to a wheelchair (practical old soul) and his imposing, dim-witted son, simply known as Vegetable (brutal simpleton). The women set their sights on the old man’s hidden stash of cash, with Varla and Rosie indulging in their twisted desires while Billie tries to seduce Vegetable. Meanwhile, the voyeuristic old man encourages his son’s deviant behavior.

As tensions escalate, Kirk (the old man’s other son), a brooding presence, arrives on the scene, driven by concern for his brother’s well-being. Varla attempts to manipulate him into revealing the location of the hidden cash, but her plan backfires when Rosie becomes drunk and passes out. Billie sees an opportunity to escape from her evil companions and makes a desperate bid for freedom, only to be caught and brutally stabbed in the back by Varla.

Rosie’s return to the scene of the crime to retrieve the knife proves disastrous, as Vegetable assumes she is responsible for Billie’s demise and kills her. The old man, driven by desperation, heads back to his house in his wheelchair, only to have Varla smash him down with their sports car. She then sets out to claim the hidden cash, which had been cleverly concealed in the wheelchair.

As the chaos reaches its boiling point, Kirk and Linda arrive on the scene, triggering a desperate struggle that finds Kirk pitted against Varla as though fighting a formidable opponent. Sensing defeat looming, Linda jumps into a truck and drives it at breakneck speed directly into Varla, ending her reign of terror.
