Check out what happened in Hypnotic!

As Andrea Bowen's claustrophobia grips her, she frantically reaches out to Detective Wade Rollins (Wade Rollins), the investigator assigned to her case, with a desperate warning: her hypnotherapist, Dr. Collin Meade, continues to stalk her despite their initial agreement. The anxiety is palpable as Andrea's phone rings mere moments later in an elevator, where she hesitates before answering the call from an unknown number. Meade's ominous declaration, "this is how the world ends," sets off a chain reaction of terror within Andrea, whose already fragile psyche is now pushed to the brink. The elevator walls seem to be closing in on her, and her heart gives out under the crushing pressure.

Meanwhile, Jenn Tompson is hosting a housewarming party for her friend Gina Kelman (Gina Kelman) and her husband Scott, where she's forced to confront her ex-fiancé Brian Rawley. Gina's thoughtful introduction of Jenn to Dr. Meade sets off a series of events that will forever alter the course of their lives.

As Jenn begins her sessions with Meade, she reveals the turmoil she experienced during her troubled engagement with Brian, which was marred by the devastating loss of their miscarriage. The hypnotherapist's words of wisdom, gleaned from his mentor Dr. Xavier Sullivan, seem to resonate deeply with Jenn, who finds solace in his guidance.

Meade's suggestion that Jenn invite Brian over for dinner sparks a chain reaction of events, as she unwittingly becomes embroiled in a sinister game. As she researches and prepares for the evening, Jenn receives a mysterious phone call that sends her into a tailspin. When she regains consciousness, she finds herself at the dinner table, with Brian struggling for life in the bathroom due to an allergic reaction.

The subsequent investigation reveals that Meade had indeed manipulated Jenn's subconscious, compelling her to unwittingly poison Brian. As the full extent of his manipulation comes to light, Jenn's world begins to unravel.

With the pieces slowly falling into place, Jenn discovers the chilling truth about Andrea Bowen's suspicious death and Meade's possible involvement. She decides to take matters into her own hands, secretly recording a hypnosis session with the cunning therapist. However, her plan backfires when she realizes that Meade is one step ahead of her, having anticipated her attempt to incriminate him in Andrea's murder.

As Gina (character name not provided) navigates the treacherous landscape of her own psyche, a desperate phone call from her trusted friend Jenn proves to be the catalyst for catastrophe. With husband Scott by her side, Gina dismisses Jenn's urgent warning and instead takes another call, allowing Meade (actor's name not provided) to exploit her deep-seated arachnophobia. The ensuing hallucination of a tarantula in her lap sends Gina into a tailspin, culminating in a tragic car accident that claims the lives of both herself and Scott.

Meanwhile, Wade (character name not provided) confronts Meade about his sinister activities, only to be confronted with a mountain of incriminating files linking additional deaths to female patients sharing similar physical characteristics. As he secretly pockets a spoon touched by Meade, Wade's vague threats serve as a ominous warning of the horrors to come.

Meade's malevolent presence soon descends upon Jenn's apartment, where he uses his hypnotic abilities to freeze her in place and revel in his dominance. This chilling display is merely a precursor to a series of events that will push Wade to the brink of exhaustion. As Meade plants a hypnotic suggestion in Tabby's mind, Wade finds himself forced to defend against an unexpected attack, ultimately ending up in the hospital with severe injuries.

As Jenn grapples with the aftermath of her friend Gina's untimely demise, she seeks the counsel of Dr. Stella Graham (actor's name not provided), a renowned expert in the field of hypnosis. Despite undergoing convulsions during their session, Jenn begins to uncover the dark secrets surrounding Meade's sinister agenda. Graham reveals that Meade has implanted a failsafe in Jenn's subconscious, rendering his triggers too powerful to eliminate.

Determined to reclaim control over her life, Jenn sets out to uncover the truth behind Meade's twisted motivations. Her investigation leads her to Dr. Xavier Sullivan (actor's name not provided), a figure with ties to the notorious MKULTRA mind control experiments. As Jenn pieces together the puzzle of Meade's true identity, she discovers that he is none other than Julian, the son of her supposed mentor.

With Wade's well-being hanging precariously in the balance, Jenn finds herself facing off against Meade in a desperate bid to free herself from his grasp. As the stakes grow increasingly perilous, Jenn's determination to resist Meade's manipulation culminates in a heart-pumping showdown that will leave only one person standing.

As the haze of uncertainty lifts, Jenn appears to be restored to her former self in Wade's embrace. Yet, this fleeting respite is merely a product of Meade's cunning manipulation, as evidenced by the vision itself. The term "my love," uttered by Meade, serves as the catalyst for Dr. Graham's countermeasures, ultimately shattering the spell that had held Jenn captive. Liberated from Meade's sway, Jenn seizes control, retrieves a firearm from Wade's ankle holster, and metes out a grim reckoning to her tormentor. The aftermath of this confrontation sees both Jenn and Wade nursing their wounds as they embark on the long journey toward recovery - a process that will span several weeks.
