Who is the main character that is captured by the Nazis on the Moon?

Plot Summary

As the American manned landing mission touches down on the lunar surface, a beacon of hope and progress in 2018, two astronauts emerge from their spacecraft: one being James Washington, a black male model specifically selected to aid the President of the United States in her re-election bid. The mission’s triumphant return is met with fanfare, as evidenced by the ubiquitous “Black to the moon” posters plastered throughout the film. However, this momentous occasion takes an unexpected turn when Washington and his fellow astronaut encounter a shocking discovery - the Nazis have been hiding on the dark side of the Moon since 1945.

Washington’s capture by the Nazi forces sets in motion a chain of events that will have far-reaching consequences. Doktor Richter, a brilliant but misguided scientist, becomes fixated on Washington’s smartphone, recognizing its unprecedented computing power as a game-changer for their own technological endeavors. The device’s potential is further amplified when it’s used to control the Nazi’s formidable space battleship, Götterdämmerung.

As Doktor Richter attempts to demonstrate his Wunderwaffe to the current Führer, Wolfgang Kortzfleisch, the phone’s power source runs dry, prompting Klaus Adler, a ruthless and cunning commander, to volunteer for a mission to Earth to procure more of these revolutionary devices. Washington, who has been subjected to brutal experimentation by Richter, is taken along for the ride.

Meanwhile, on Earth, President of the United States faces an uphill battle in her re-election campaign, desperate for a miracle to turn the tide in her favor. Little does she know that Adler and his accomplices have already infiltrated her inner circle, with Vivian Wagner (Peta Sergeant), her trusted aide, unwittingly facilitating their entry into the presidential campaign.

As Adler and Richter assume control of the President’s propaganda machine, they set about revamping the campaign in a manner that is both audacious and terrifying. Richter remains blissfully unaware of Adler’s true intentions, which go far beyond mere political manipulation - he has his sights set on becoming the next Führer and ruling the world.

In a shocking turn of events, Kortzfleisch becomes aware of Adler’s plans and sends an armada to Earth orbit, only to be killed by Adler in a brutal confrontation. Vivian Wagner, horrified by her complicity in Adler’s scheme, ultimately finds herself trapped in his web of deceit. In a twisted display of loyalty and treachery, she engages in a fateful encounter with Adler, only to have him betray her once more when he steals her iPad and departs, leaving behind a trail of destruction and chaos.

As Adler proudly proclaims himself the supreme commander, he departs with Kortzfleisch’s extraterrestrial vessel, leaving behind a trail of chaos. Meanwhile, Renate Richter stumbles upon the disillusioned Washington, who opens her eyes to the true nature of terrestrial Nazism. Washington shares an extensive collection of literature and cinematic works documenting Nazi history, revealing the moon’s propaganda as just another chapter in their self-aggrandizing narrative. When Adler attempts to eliminate Renata, she narrowly escapes with Washington’s assistance.

The United Nations convenes to address the extraterrestrial threat, with the President eager to capitalize on the crisis for re-election purposes. Vivian Wagner is appointed commander of the USS George W. Bush, a spacecraft equipped with nuclear weapons, and assumes control from aboard. As it becomes apparent that other nations have also developed armed spacecraft, they join forces to vanquish the Nazi armada.

Back on Earth, Richter persuades Washington to return to the Moon with her, intent on stopping Adler’s nefarious plans. They reclaim Kortzfleisch’s flying saucer and journey back to the lunar surface, where Washington attempts to disable the Götterdämmerung’s engines while Renate searches for Adler. Meanwhile, the international armada has already destroyed the Swastika moon-base and is en route to the Götterdämmerung.

In the climactic battle, Washington manages to sever the tablet device controlling the Götterdämmerung, while Richter eliminates Adler. The spacecraft crashes onto the Moon’s surface, leaving behind a trail of destruction as Adler vainly attempts to secure a clear shot at Earth.

Upon receiving Wagner’s triumphant report, the President congratulates her on their joint victory from the United Nations session. Wagner reveals that she has detected vast reserves of Helium-3 on the Moon, a discovery that would ensure American independence from foreign power sources for centuries. This revelation sparks immediate US claims to the resource, which provokes outrage from a white-haired UN member (Claus Wilcke as Percy Stuart) who responds by hurling his shoe at the President.

The ensuing “meeting hall battle” precipitates international turmoil and chaos, ultimately leading nations’ spacecraft to turn against each other in a devastating display of global anarchy.

As Richter and Washington (now restored to his natural complexion) converge at the ravaged Swastika moon-base, a poignant reunion unfolds before the stunned gaze of Richter’s former pupils. The veteran’s words are laced with determination as he asserts that their arduous journey is only just beginning. Against this backdrop of desolation and devastation, the very fabric of humanity hangs in the balance. The cinematic canvas expands to reveal the catastrophic consequences of global conflict, as nuclear explosions ravage the planet, painting a grim picture of a world on the brink of collapse. And yet, even amidst the chaos, a subtle hint at humanity’s resilience is offered: a mysterious man-made satellite orbits Mars, casting an enigmatic shadow over the red planet, leaving viewers to ponder the uncertain fate that awaits our species.
