Check out what happened in Lady and the Tramp!

In a quaint town circa 1909, "Jim Dear" presents his wife "Darling" with a charming cocker spaniel puppy named Lady as a Christmas gift. As Lady grows under the indulgent care of her loving owners, she forges strong bonds with Jock (a dashing Scottie) and Trusty (an aged Bloodhound), neighbors who reside in the adjacent household.

Meanwhile, across town, Tramp, a street-smart terrier-mix, survives on scraps and handouts. He liberates his companions Peg, a Pekingese, and Bull, a Bulldog, from the clutches of the relentless dogcatcher. Fleeing the authorities, Tramp stumbles upon Lady's neighborhood, where he overhears her discussing her owners' newfound distance with Jock and Trusty. Recognizing an opportunity to share his worldly wisdom, Tramp inserts himself into the conversation, cautioning Lady that "when a baby moves in, a dog moves out." Annoyed by Tramp's unsolicited advice, Jock drives him off the premises.

Tramp's words of warning, however, plant seeds of doubt in Lady's mind as she frets throughout Darling's pregnancy. When the baby boy finally arrives, Lady is allowed to bond with her new sibling, dispelling her fears and apprehensions.

Later, Jim Dear and Darling embark on a short trip, leaving the household, Lady, and their newborn in the capable hands of Jim Dear's aunt Sarah. This stern matron disapproves of dogs and prohibits Lady from interacting with the baby; subsequently, Sarah's two Siamese cats, Si and Am, wreak havoc on the house, blaming Lady for the chaos. In a clever ruse, they fabricate an attack and pin the blame on Lady, leading Sarah to confiscate her and have a muzzle fitted.

Panic-stricken, Lady flees into the street, pursued by three feral dogs until Tramp intervenes, shielding her from harm. He then takes Lady to the zoo, where a kindly beaver removes her muzzle. Tramp introduces Lady to his carefree lifestyle, and they explore the town together, enjoying a spaghetti dinner at Tony's Restaurant before strolling through the park.

The next day, Tramp attempts to convince Lady to abandon her responsibilities and join him in his owner-free existence; although she has grown fond of Tramp, Lady chooses to remain devoted to watching over the baby. As Tramp escorts Lady home, he detours to chase some chickens; however, their escapade attracts the attention of the dogcatcher, who captures only Lady, sending her to the local pound.

At the pound, Lady reunites with Peg and Bull, as well as other strays who all know Tramp. They reveal that females are his Achilles' heel, sharing stories of his numerous past conquests.

As Sarah arrives to exact her vengeance on Lady, she shackles the loyal canine in the backyard as punishment for her daring escape. Jock and Trusty present an alternative solution: marry one of them and leave the abusive household behind. However, Lady politely declines their proposals, determined to maintain her independence. When Tramp appears, apologizing profusely for his past transgressions, Lady rebukes him for his numerous conquests and sends him packing. Following this confrontation, Lady's keen senses alert her to a suspicious intruder - a large rat - sneaking into the house through the baby's nursery window. Her attempts to warn Sarah fall on deaf ears, but Tramp returns upon hearing Lady's frantic barking, enters the house, and valiantly saves the infant from the rodent's clutches. As Lady breaks free from her chains and follows Tramp, he sustains injuries in the ensuing battle with the rat, but ultimately dispatches it behind a curtain. Meanwhile, the baby's crib topples over, prompting his anguished cries; Sarah rushes to investigate, convinced that the dogs have attacked the infant.

Later, Jim Dear and Darling return home to discover Lady imprisoned in the cellar and Tramp about to be carted away by the dogcatcher for execution. Unconvinced by Sarah's fabricated tale, Jim Dear frees Lady, who promptly reveals the lifeless rat as evidence. As the truth becomes apparent, Jock and Trusty pursue the dogcatcher's cart, attempting to intervene; however, the horses spook, causing the vehicle to crash. Jim Dear and Darling arrive with Lady to rescue Tramp, but Trusty suffers a serious injury in the wreckage.

As the seasons change and Christmastime arrives, Tramp has become an integral member of the family, and he and Lady have welcomed four adorable puppies into their midst. Jock and a partially healed Trusty pay a visit, and the puppies now serve as Trusty's new audience for his oft-repeated tales - though he's unfortunately forgotten them, much to everyone's amusement.
