In the extraordinary life of Kenneth Winslow, a reserved technical writer with an unquenchable thirst for knowledge, an unusual relationship begins to evolve. His meticulously ordered sex-doll, Nikki, becomes an unexpected presence in his daily existence, prompting numerous discussions and even contentious debates between them. As the connection between Kenneth and Nikki strengthens, his demeanor turns increasingly erratic, leading him to feel as if Nikki’s spirit is haunting every aspect of his world.
The intertwining dynamic soon spirals into a convoluted game of affection and animosity, reaching a boiling point when Kenneth, overwhelmed with frustration, brutally lashes out at the doll. Meanwhile, at his workplace, Kenneth crosses paths with Lisa, a delightful temp who captures his attention. His infatuation with her becomes evident when he encourages her to adopt Nikki’s signature look—transforming her hair and wardrobe to mirror that of his doll.
As Kenneth’s obsession with Nikki deepens, his actions take a dark and sinister turn. In a fit of madness, he dismembers the doll and discreetly disposes of the pieces, only to later impose Nikki’s identity onto Lisa. Dressed and bound in Nikki’s clothing, Lisa becomes the manifestation of Kenneth’s twisted fantasies.
However, Lisa’s resilience shines through as she manages to escape her bindings and retaliate by striking Kenneth with a small statue, leaving him unconscious. When the authorities arrive, they are met with a chaotic scene: Lisa, in Nikki’s attire, lays motionless among the remnants of the doll that had once ensnared Kenneth in its grip.
In the wake of these events, Kenneth is portrayed as a victim of circumstance, with no legal repercussions following the tragic incident. As the years pass, Kenneth succumbs to his obsessive tendencies once more, ordering a new Nikki to fill the void. During a visit to the local flower shop for bouquets to welcome his new companion, his eye catches an alluring brunette—a tantalizing sign that hints the unsettling cycle of Kenneth’s obsessive love triangle may soon begin anew, leaving the audience to ponder the fate that awaits him.
