Plot Summary

As the aircraft soars through the sky, Ghasem (character) and his entourage - comprising his wife Narges, mother, and other relatives - embark on a journey to Bandar Abbas, Iran. Their destination: a job at an industrial company. The prospect of a better life proves too enticing, with everyone else on board seemingly oblivious to the true nature of their trip. However, Narges is privy to her husband’s sinister intentions, which only become apparent once the plane reaches cruising altitude. Ghasem produces a firearm, disarms the sole flight marshal, and issues an ultimatum: alter the destination to Dubai or face the consequences. As chaos erupts, the pilot is left shaken and helpless.

Meanwhile, one of the passengers, mistaken for a passenger by Ghasem, seizes the opportunity to take down the hijacker when everyone’s attention is diverted by internal squabbles. The plane veers back towards its original destination, but Narges’ cunning intervention allows her to wrest control of the firearm from Ghasem. Undeterred, she orchestrates a new diversion, redirecting the plane once more towards Dubai. Tragically, the aircraft’s fuel levels dwindle, and it crashes into the water in the midst of nowhere.

Inspired by a true event that transpired on December 13, 2000, when three members of an extended family attempted to hijack a domestic Iranian flight, this story serves as a testament to the bravery and quick thinking of the flight guards who thwarted their nefarious plans. Initially sentenced to death or life imprisonment, the main culprits’ punishments were later commuted to lengthy prison terms, serving as a reminder that even in the darkest moments, there is always hope for redemption.
