As a gash on the palm of high-stakes gangster Gwang-ho (character name) serves as a harbinger of profound change, an enigmatic concatenation of eerie events unfolds. The air is thick with an otherworldly presence, manifesting in whispers that echo through his mind and objects that seemingly develop a life of their own. One such inexplicable occurrence takes the form of a newspaper, blown by the wind, yet persistently dogging Gwang-ho's every step as he attempts to flee its grasp. The paper's persistent pursuit leads him to seek out the wisdom of a mystical fortune teller, whose cryptic revelations disclose that the strange happenings are, in fact, orchestrated by a restless spirit. In order to harmonize with this ethereal force and assume his ordained role as a shaman, Gwang-ho is compelled to undergo a ritual of acceptance. As he begins to live a dual existence, honing his mystical abilities by day while continuing his life of crime by night, the strains of maintaining this precarious balance threaten to overwhelm him. Meanwhile, Tae-joo (Kim Jung-tae), a cunning and ruthless rival within Gwang-ho's criminal organization, is secretly plotting to supplant him as leader. A network of spies, dispatched by Tae-joo to uncover and exploit Gwang-ho's dual identity, begins to close in on their quarry, poised to unleash devastating consequences upon the gangster whose fate hangs precariously in the balance.
