In the midst of Rust Belt turmoil, three young men forge an unbreakable bond as they desperately seek escape from the chaos that surrounds them in their hometown. As adulthood beckons and responsibilities mount, the foundations of this decade-long friendship are put to the test by unexpected revelations that threaten to upend their lives forever.

Behind the lens is Bing Liu, a filmmaker who has spent over 12 years documenting his skateboarding friends’ turbulent upbringings in Rockford, Illinois. Through this cinematic journey, Liu delves into the complexities of modern-day masculinity, capturing the trials and tribulations of 23-year-old Zack as he navigates the treacherous waters of fatherhood with his girlfriend, as well as the struggles of 17-year-old Keire as he grapples with his racial identity in the aftermath of his father’s passing.
