Moments of Clarity 2016

Claire, portrayed by Kristin Wallace, is a kind-hearted young adult living a sheltered life with her loving, yet agoraphobic mother, Henrietta, played by Saxon Trainor. When she embarks on a spontaneous trip to a youth retreat alongside her new friend Danielle, portrayed by Lyndsy Fonseca, their adventure begins in a rickety car that symbolizes their desire to break free from their constraints.

As they traverse the open road, they encounter Trevor, the free-spirited ukulele player, depicted by A.J. Trauth, who unintentionally creates a rift between the two girls. However, after reconciling over a glass of wine, they stumble upon a wild rave hosted by Artemis, acted by Xander Berkeley, which becomes a defining moment in their quest for self-discovery. Just when their escapade seems to flourish, they unexpectedly confront Claire’s biological father, Hal, played by Eric Roberts, who is also Artemis’ partner.

With anxious parents desperately searching for their wayward daughters, Claire and Danielle are thrust into the reality of their rebellious choices. The arrival of a disenchanted policewoman, characterized by Bitty Schram, sets the stage for a series of chaotic events culminating in a dramatic confrontation at Hal’s home as Claire’s mother and Danielle’s father strive to recover their lost children.

As everything unfolds, Claire grapples with the startling truth about her biological father’s past — a man once famed for his career in adult films. In parallel, Pastor Paul realizes the depth of his daughter’s struggles, ultimately uncovering why she finds solace in wine. As the climactic chaos dies down, Claire and Danielle return to the youth retreat, eager to share the significant experiences and insights gained from their profound journey, and reminding everyone that true growth often comes from embracing the unexpected twists of life.
