In an unusual blend of Wall Street expertise and entomological fascination, Beau Knapp has engineered an astonishing algorithm called the “Honeybee” model, which he is confident will unlock remarkable financial gains. His obsession with flying insects, notably bees, has equipped him with an exceptional insight into their behaviors, granting him the ability to foresee market changes with almost eerie precision. Yet, after drifting into a dream filled with cryptic clues, he becomes fixated on the idea of creating an advanced analytical tool inspired by the behavior of swarms of mosquitoes.

Amidst this backdrop, he encounters Charlotte Vega, a mesmerizing young woman who juggles her academic endeavors with a job at a nearby wine bar. As their relationship deepens, Richard invites her to his extravagant penthouse, which showcases a stunning vista of Central Park. However, his otherwise elegant residence is plagued by an unwanted invasion: swarms of mosquitoes that appear to have developed a frightening appetite for human blood.

With the passage of time, Richard’s fascination with these minuscule marauders spirals out of control, transforming his body into a buffet for the voracious insects. Initially, his coworkers find humor in his insect-infested demeanor, but their amusement gives way to alarm as his cautions about impending market volatility are ignored. Confronted with the looming chaos in the financial world, Richard retreats into the confines of his apartment, where he surrender himself to the relentless craving of the mosquitoes.
