Check out what happened in New in Town!

Lucy Hill (played by), a high-powered consultant from Miami's sun-kissed streets, was dispatched to the frigid climes of New Ulm, Minnesota, to oversee the restructuring of a food manufacturing plant. The factory's impending transformation into a Japanese-automated facility would necessitate a drastic 50 percent reduction in staff.

As Lucy traded her flip-flops for snow boots and navigated the icy roads of Minnesota, she encountered a chilly reception from the locals, the weather, and the cultural landscape that left her struggling to find footing. Her first foray into small-town hospitality ended in disaster when she inadvertently insulted Ted Mitchell (played by), the guest of honor at a home-cooked meal orchestrated by the plant's secretary. Little did Lucy know, Ted would soon emerge as the head of the workers' union. Similarly, her frosty demeanor towards Flo, the local waitress and ex-wife of the plant's foreman, set the stage for a series of misunderstandings that would unfold.

As Lucy settled into her new surroundings, she found solace in the kindness of strangers and the warmth of the community. Ted, in his rugged pickup truck, came to her rescue from the jaws of frostbite when she got stuck in a snowbank while trying to avoid a curious cow on the road. Later, Lucy's expertise in fashion and style helped Ted's 13-year-old daughter prepare for her first dance, forging an unlikely bond between them. The spark of attraction that had been smoldering beneath the surface finally ignited as Lucy and Ted shared a tender kiss.

However, when Lucy was tasked with shutting down the plant, putting the entire community out of work, she was forced to reevaluate her priorities and find a way to salvage the town's livelihood. A hearty bowl of tapioca pudding, prepared according to her secretary's secret recipe, served as the catalyst for Lucy's epiphany: why not leverage the company's former yogurt production line and existing personnel to manufacture and market the beloved dessert? The venture proved an instant hit, but its success came at a price – the corporate behemoth was eager to shut down the small Minnesota plant, unable to meet national demand.

Undeterred, Lucy assembled a group of financiers who purchased the plant, gradually transferring ownership to the employees. As part of the deal, she became CEO, and with Ted's pledge of cooperation from the union, the stage was set for a new era of prosperity in New Ulm. In a moment of triumph, Lucy announced the purchase to the employees gathered on the factory floor, where Ted, now sporting a clean-shaven look, stood by her side. As they sealed their newfound partnership with a kiss, the crowd erupted into applause.
