In this seemingly idyllic suburban San Diego setting, Micah, a day-trader with a penchant for rationality, and Katie, a student plagued by the inexplicable presence of a ghostly entity since childhood, are on the cusp of taking their relationship to the next level. As they settle into their cozy two-story tract home, Katie’s long-standing terror begins to manifest in her new surroundings. Initially dismissing her concerns as mere paranoia, Micah is eventually convinced to capture evidence of the paranormal activity on film by outfitting their bedroom with a video camera. This endeavor, which will span three weeks, becomes an obsession for Micah as he strives to communicate with the entity and debunk Katie’s claims.

The couple’s attempts to seek guidance from Dr. Fredrichs, a psychic with a no-nonsense approach, prove fruitless.
