As Mike’s world begins to unravel, a series of calamitous events unfolds: he and Kristen suffer gruesome injuries at the hands of a flock of black vultures, while Hannah meets a tragic demise after being flung from a window. In a desperate bid to rescue his son Charlie, Mike returns to the institute, only to encounter the enigmatic blind homeless man once more. This time, they strike a Faustian bargain - the watch for guidance on the treacherous path ahead. The vision-impaired guide reveals that Mike has until the stroke of midnight on Halloween night to find his son and shatter the curse, or risk being forever ensnared in this desolate realm.

As Mike arrives at the widow’s cabin, a sense of trepidation settles over him as he descends into the dimly lit basement, where the restless spirits of countless children, trapped for centuries, hang precariously in limbo.
